|Exchange students continue to pay their regular Ohio State tuition for the duration of their exchange program.
Room rates are based on the high end of a range of possible costs; the actual cost of a student's housing will vary, and may well be less expensive than what is estimated here. The estimate is based on available on-campus housing. Off-campus housing may be more expensive.
When living on campus there is a 30,000 Yen deposit required. Any cleaning that must be done or damages that are left after you move out will be deducted from this.
The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) estimates monthly food expenditures ("board") at 25,000 JPY or approximately $219/month.
The Centers for Disease Control can be consulted for recommended vaccines for travel to Japan.
Education Abroad Personal Expenses includes estimated costs for student cell phone, and other miscellaneous costs.
