This program has multiple summer options. Please review the separate budget sheets below for each option:  The cost of housing will depend on what the applicant has selected. The figure here represents the most expensive option (single room). Likewise, board is an estimate of what the applicant might spend. Students may also elect to purchase breakfast at the Institut M-F for 90 EUR/week.

Misc./Education Abroad Personal Expenses include the estimated cost of cell phone usage abroad. This estimate also includes the cost of the required Goethe Zertifikat. The cost of this exam is determined by the student's level of German; the most expensive exam (C2) is reflected in this budget. Students will arrange payment for this expense while in-country.

A visa is not required for students who are U.S. citizens to participate in this program. International students are responsible for determining if they need a visa at their own expense.

The Goethe Institut program fee includes tuition only.

The Centers for Disease Control can be consulted for recommended vaccines for travel to Germany

*This is an estimate of the billed expenses that will appear on your Statement of Account and non-billed (out-of-pocket) expenses for budgeting purposes.
