A waiver of tuition for Ohio State students that participate on university-approved third-party provider or direct enroll programming is in effect until June 30, 2021.

The School of Russian and Asian Studies (SRAS) program costs include tuition for study as outlined, visa and registration, pre-departure materials, local orientation, health, and accident insurance, housing as listed, round-trip airport transfers, SRAS in-country support, and use of a mobile telephone for the duration of the program.

Programs in Russia include dormitory accommodation; homestay is available in all Russian locations at additional cost. SRAS suggests a weekly budget of around $100-$150 for meals. Additional budgeting information can be found in SRAS' "Student Budgets and Finance" guide.

The Misc/Education Abroad Personal Expenses include the estimated cost of an HIV test at Wilce Student Health Center.  The HIV test is a required component of the student visa to Russia. Students are not required to go to Wilce to have this test completed; the cost is offered as an estimate only.

The Centers for Disease Control can be consulted for recommended vaccines for travel to Russia.

*This is an estimate of both the billed expenses that will appear on a student's Statement of Account and the non-billed (out-of-pocket) expenses for budgeting purposes.

This program budget sheet is intended for the 2020 summer session and was updated on 18 February 2020
