Transformational Overseas Experience

As a student, I participated in two education abroad programs (China and Dominican Republic), but my most transformational experience abroad was when I served as a Peace Corps agribusiness and rural business volunteer in the Republic of Moldova. The experience not only helped me better understand small, rural businesses, but also business in an international context. I also developed my ability to work with diverse groups of people, work in another language (Romanian) and increased my self-confidence through traveling and development projects. My experiences abroad make my work more rewarding because I assist students going abroad.
